Untreated glass is porous and as a result it absorbs mineral deposits and soap scum, making it more and more difficult to clean. Overtime glass can discolor and etching can occur in harsh environments. A common harsh environment is found in the household bathroom. The shower door is subject to mineral deposits from the water, shampoo chemicals, soaps, body fats, and harsh scrubbing using toxic cleaners.

EnduroShield is an ultra-thin transparent glass coating that completely adheres to the surface and provides protection that will repel both water and oil based stains. Similar to a non-stick fry pan, cleaning is made easier using only water and a mild detergent or with a damp microfiber cloth. No longer is scrubbing with harsh toxic cleaners needed, EnduroShield makes cleaning a breeze. The superior protection also helps prevent the build-up of mould and harmful bacteria, promoting a germ free environment.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS 
To keep your glass looking new, the glass needs to be cleaned each week using a damp microfiber cloth and a mild detergent to remove any soap scum and grime from the glass. Be careful not to use any rough, gritty, highly acidic, alkaline or abrasive cleaners such as Comet, Ajax or cerium oxide as they may damage the protective coating. 
For areas with hard water or well/bore water, due to a higher concentrate of mineral deposits such as lime and calcium, a build up may occur on the protective coating and may not be easily removed with a mild detergent. A solution of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 5 parts water) should be sprayed onto the glass and allowed to soak for several minutes. This will dissolve any mineral deposits that have built up on the glass surface. A damp microfiber cloth should then be used to wipe over the glass.

WHAT TO AVOID

Be careful not to use any rough, gritty, highly acidic, alkaline or abrasive cleaners such as Comet (powder), Ajax or cerium oxide as they may damage the protective coating. Cleaners like this damage or polish back the actual substrate of the surface.

ACCEPTABLE CLEANING PRODUCTS

From time to time people want to know examples of cleaners that they can use on their treated surface, over the suggested maintenance. EnduroShield is very robust. In fact there is no solvent that can remove the coating, but as listed above there are some product types that should be avoided. Accelerated testing undertaken to simulate 10 years of cleaning was undertaken using 6 of the top selling cleaning brands in the US, showing no detriment to the coating.

Although these cleaners can be used, EnduroShield is designed to be an ‘Easy Clean coating’ that requires only mild soaps that do not contain harsh or toxic chemicals to maintain the surface effectively. It should be noted that with any cleaner used on the EnduroShield surface a thorough rinse with clean water should follow immediately.
HARD WATER AREAS

TIP FOR EXTREME HARD WATER CONDITIONS
Around the world there are some unique locations which have extremely harsh conditions. In these harshest of water environments, EnduroShield is a great choice. Simply put if you didn’t have the EnduroShield protection, your glass may have to be restored to bring back the clarity or even replaced. In some cases this staining can occur in less than 1 year. New Orleans, Louisiana and Perth, Western Australia are examples of cities with very high mineral concentrations.
Being so robust, the EnduroShield coating is a great option in these conditions. EnduroShield allows you to have great looking glass, but it takes a little more work due to these specific environmental conditions. In such environments minerals are so prevalent in the water that they can still create a build up on the EnduroShield coating, (it is not damaging the glass but can build up over time) and become difficult to remove. We recommended using the vinegar / water solution (listed above) every week or so as a cleaning option to reduce this build up on the surface, rather than allowing the build up to continue over a long period of time.

CONDITIONS 
EnduroShield must be applied and maintained as per the care instructions to validate and maintain the warranty If, within the warranty period, you feel that your glass is no longer easy to clean, please send an email to serviceusa@enduroshield.com and provide a brief explanation of the problem along with your name, address, telephone number, date of installation and warranty code. 

If it is determined that an area that has been treated has not remained water repellent, PCT Global LLC will gladly provide replacement EnduroShield for Glass in an amount determined to be adequate to re-coat the area deemed unprotected. PCT Global LLC reserves the right to inspect the glass in order to determine that the product has been applied and maintained in a manner consistent with the manufacturer’s instructions.

WARRANTY INFORMATION 
EnduroShield makes cleaning a breeze, creating both a water and oil repellent surface. PCT Global LLC warrants that EnduroShield will remain water repellent for a period of ten years from the date of the receipt provided by your dealer. Extensive testing has EnduroShield to last beyond 10 years, enabling a genuine 10-year warranty on all new glass surfaces.
